National Protests Planned to Oppose  Meddling in Trump -Russia Investigation

As President Trump just forced out Sessions as Attorney General and removed Rosenstein from the Trump-Russia investigation, activists across the country are gearing up for a nationwide response – with more than 400,000 people signed up to take the street in almost 1,000 locations within hours of Trump accepting the resignation/firing Attorney Jeff Sessions. Southern Oregon is no different. Local organizers are already making contingency plans for protests in Ashland, Medford and Grants Pass.

Trump forcing out Attorney General Sessions and removing Deputy Attorney General Rosenstein from overseeing Mueller’s work is a blatant attempt to derail the DOJ’s criminal investigation and bury the truth. It can’t be overstated: Rosenstein’s removal is an intentional and seismic threat to the Trump-Russia investigation. Rosenstein has been Mueller’s boss. He appointed him and oversaw the investigation into Trump’s ties to Russia. Removing Rosenstein is nothing less than an attempt to shut it down.

Trump has crossed a red line. We must take to the streets to defend the rule of law. Tomorrow, Americans will take to the streets across the country.

In Southern Oregon, people will be gathering

• Ashland in the Downtown Plaza
• Medford in Vogel Plaza, and
• Grants Pass at the Josephine County Courthouse

All at 5 pm tomorrow,Thursday evening.

WHAT: Protest Opposing Mueller Firing
WHO: Jason Houk, Southern Oregon Jobs with Justice 541-841-8341
WHERE: Ashland Plaza and other locations.

A protest advisory will be sent day of with additional details, including a timeline of events regarding the Russian Investigation.

We call on Senator Ron Wyden, Senator Jeff Merkley and Representative Greg Walden to do everything in their power to prevent President Donald Trump from firing special counsel Robert Mueller. Americans deserve full and truthful answers to ensure the security and sanctity of our election system is never compromised again. We can only do that with a full, thorough investigation, free from interference.
