The Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) also known as “NAFTA on Steroids” is poised to become the largest trade agreement ever.

no-fast-track-tppThe expected “fast track” bill establishes the process by which trade deals, like the TPP (Trans Pacific Partnership), can submitted to Congress to receive an expedited vote—a process that allows no amendments and limited debate. No trade deal, no matter how bad, has ever been defeated under “fast track” procedures.

Fast Track for the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) would pose a grave risk to good-paying jobs and economic equality in the United States and beyond.

No “Fast Track” is acceptable.

Southern Oregon Jobs with Justice urges everyone to contact Senator Ron Wyden this Friday with the message to Stop Fast Track.

The TPP has been negotiated in secret and has still not been released to the public. Meanwhile, hundreds of corporate lobbyists have been granted access to the texts and have, in fact, been enlisted to help write them.

Call Senator Ron Wyden Chair of the Senate Finance Committee. now at (202) 224-5244 and voice your opposition to Fast Track for the TPP.

We cannot afford for Congress to Fast Track a “NAFTA of the Pacific” that offshores jobs, drives down wages in the jobs that are left and reduces revenues for our schools, roads and bridges, while also giving transnational corporations the power to attack our environmental, consumer and other public interest policies.

This Friday, February 20th please contact Senator Wyden to oppose this bad trade deal that will adversely impact us all: (202) 224-5244
