WALMART: Put Ismael Back to Work — Rally & Press Conference

2015 February 4

A group of demonstrators and reporters turned out Wednesday, Feb. 4th, at the South Medford Walmart Superstore to support Walmart workers fired in retaliation for speaking out.

Ismael Nunez, an 11 year associate at Walmart store #1772 in Klamath Falls, Oregon, was terminated in what he believes is retaliation for speaking out for a better work place. Ismael had recently participated in several actions around Black Friday and supporting the $15-Now campaign.

With husband Ismael  standing at her side, Jennifer Sanchez tells the story of how Ismael was fired by  store manager Kelly Cooper. They believe it was because of his participation and leadership role in a nationwide strike by some Walmart associates last Thanksgiving week.

Call the store manager, Kelly Cooper, and tell her to rehire Ismael and stop retaliating against workers who seek better pay and working conditions. 541-885-6890.
